Alviera Country Club

Porac, Pampanga, Philippines, 2015

The very first of its kind in Central Luzon, the Alviera Country Club seeks to create a modern oasis amidst the beautiful sprawling landscape of the Alviera estate in Porac, Pampanga. Built not just in nature but with nature, the club is designed to complement its natural surroundings, bringing fresh, new lifestyle options unlike anything the region has ever seen.

BArchan was involved with the interior architecture of the project, while the main architectural design was by LV Locsin Partners.

Architecture

Designed by the renowned Locsin Group of Architects, the Alviera Country Club is rooted in the concept of convergence, where everything is thoughtfully laid out to bring people together. A network of swimming pools, sports facilities, specialty restaurants, and grand event venues all lead to a lush layered courtyard with cooling ponds and breezy outdoor patios. It’s a place where connections are cultivated, relationships are refreshed, and ties only grow stronger. And with its dedication to quality, exceptional service, and awe-inspiring views, the club is set to be the perfect environment for both business and leisure activities.

With the architecture’s main gesture (designed by Leandro V Locsin and Partners) being a series of leaves gently falling onto the ground, we took our cue from it and sought inspiration from nature.

Interior Approach

We thought of spaces whose patterns and textures that do not attempt to be rigid and stiff, but express a certain randomness and freedom, referencing various formations in nature – leaves, foliage, cliffs, mountainscapes, to name a few. Shades from the earth were selected for the majority of the interior surfaces – wood, stone, beiges, browns.

Both the materiality and the visual patterns of the interiors, though unmistakably made by man, attempt to approximate a familiar, warm, and belonging feeling that we get when we find ourselves in nature.

Although always rooted on the principles of modernism, our design expressions always still integrate the contemporary – experimenting with various combinations of both space and visual impact, to ultimately aim for a unique yet timeless experience.

Furniture

We used only Filipino furniture pieces, taking this opportunity to showcase our high level of craftsmanship and design, working with well know global brands such as Kenneth Cobonpue, Vito Selma, Ito Kish, Milo Naval, and South Sea Veneer.

The result was a truly luxurious cadence of spaces, with a dichotomy of being deeply rooted on the Filipino culture and identity, yet exudes a sophisticated and global sensibility.
