We are a highly creative, unique, and progressive design firm that empathizes, listens, understands and responds to the clients’ needs, goals, values, dreams and aspirations thru the design and delivery of timeless and unforgettable architectural experiences that preserve heritage and legacies, seek altruism (gives more importance to people, community, culture, environment), tells unique and aspirational stories; with the ultimate goal of uplifting lives, inspiring positive change and creating a better world.

A barchan is a crescent-shaped sand dune, typically concave on the leeward side and manifests itself in deserts. This natural phenomenon captures the essence of what we believe architecture should be.
As barchans attain their sinuous and elegant form thru steady directionality of winds, we believe that architecture, at it’s most authentic manifestation, is simply shaped too – not by wind but by context, allowing itself to be influenced by both old and new, past and present, simple and complex, tradition and technology, place and people.
A barchan dune can shift, move, and migrate, as wind shifts. In the same way that nature constantly changes, context too, continuously evolves. Architecture should therefore be a living vessel for context to be represented at the point of conception and creation, but allowing itself to change as context, too, shifts over time.
Though barchans appear, disappear, and reappear, they do not take any resource from nature. They are simply dunes that are composed of the same sand, simply shifted by nature to create forms of beauty. Architecture should be crafted in a similar manner, where resources are sustainably stewarded so that nature is not depleted, maintained, and even enhanced.
Barchans tell stories of nature, as what architecture should do as well. We hope to amplify and tell stories of dreams, goals, ideals and aspirations through timeless and unforgettable experiences. Architecture is therefore a means to preserve memories and therefore legacies but enables more of both to still be created over time.
As much as we believe that architecture is shaped by context, we also believe in architecture that shapes us and our society towards advancement and the greater good. As much as it is about physicality, space, and feelings, it must put people first. Architecture must be a means to uplift ways of living and improve society through encouraging connections with various scales of community.
OPTIMISM \ The process of architecture – design, dialogues, and delivery of structures, building community – takes a long time to realize. What fuels us throughout this process is a relentless belief that there will be a better future for all of us. We yearn to be part of the solution towards that goal. Our imagination manifests in optimistic and aspirational architecture, so that the communities we affect (our own, included) may be inspired to believe in a great future too.
PERSONALIZATION \ We are driven by process and experimentation, and we ensure that our stakeholders are consistently a part of each step. We make sure their voices are heard and integrated before and during the design process. This collaborative model always leads to a freedom to personalize their interaction with architecture thereafter, resulting to a dynamic and constantly evolving experience of the built environment.
WEAVING AS A MENTAL MODEL \ The world changes everyday at an unprecedented pace. New ideas and new tech continually disrupt norms and the current definition of context has never been as complex as it is now. We take pains to understand each complexity so that we can find new ways for them to complement each other towards a cohesive fabric. We are weavers of architectural solutions.
RESPONSIVE TO CONTEXT \ We believe that architecture is simply a response to context. Nowadays though, context is often composed of complex components, both basic (such as climate, site, culture, available materials) and contemporary (government laws, corporate politics, business strategies, latest technologies, sustainability, to name a few). In the same way that the vernacular architecture of different countries were shaped by specific context then (simpler as they may have been), we adopt that same kind of mental model to address the complexities of context today.
Architecture is a call for Authenticity. Life is too short for fakery and to be surrounded by a contrived built environment. We see architecture as simply a response to context, allowing itself to be shaped by both old and new, past and present, simple and complex, tradition and technology, place and people. Context has evolved into a complex myriad of contributors – history, heritage, neighborhood, genus loci, climate, culture, and technology, among others. Architecture should therefore be a living vessel for these elements to be represented at the point of conception and creation, while allowing itself to change as context, too, shifts over time.
Architecture preserves memories and therefore legacies but enables more of both to still be created over time.
Architecture must aspire for Altruism. As much as it is about physicality, space, and feelings, it must put people first. Architecture must be a means to uplift ways of living and improve society thru encouraging connections with various scales of community. It must be created sustainably so as not to degrade nature, but in fact should enhance it even more for future generations to enjoy. The greater good must be its greatest cause.
Architecture must be a source of hope and Aspiration. As it is always envisioned in the future tense, there must be an unwavering belief in not only a future, but a better future – a better world for people to enjoy. Architecture should beam with and be a source of optimism, and should inspire.
With architecture as a backdrop and a means, we hope to amplify and tell stories of dreams, goals, ideals and aspirations through timeless and unforgettable experiences. We welcome the complexities of our clients and society and weave solutions together thru progressive and wholistic problem-solving mindset, with the hopes of societal Advancement.
We are a collective, and we believe in co-creating. We create with each other, with other fields, with the people we serve. Collaboration is key to unlocking possibilities. And the key to collaboration is open communication – we say what we think freely with the absence of judgment.
Its never about us. We yearn to serve and to create for others. We do this with humility, reflectively listening to those we serve and each other. When we listen, we also empathize, trying our best to truly hear what someone (or someplace) is trying to say beyond words and therefore understand the problem at a deeper level – down to its core essence and roots. Once this is clear, it usually points us towards the right solution.
But when it comes to problem solving, solutions come last. We allow ourselves to get lost in emotions with logic, intuition with reason. We then find our way back to a place where ideas are freely shared and built on collectively, narrowed down with experimentation and sometimes by cross-pollination. We allow ourselves to make mistakes, knowing that this is the only way towards maturity and growth. And though wisdom is brought about by growth, we still conduct ourselves with the spirit of play, never losing a childlike curiosity and innocence, allowing us to be open to always learn new ways of doing things. Process is given more importance than the finality of the outcome. Process is key. Process is THE key.
We follow the rules. In fact, we try to master them. Once we do, then we gain the confidence to break them, unlocking new possibilities. We usually make our own, then we follow it to the tee. Then we repeat. This cycle allows our mental models to constantly evolve, always trying to understand and create for a world that is to be. In all things, we are guided with progressive integrity.
We brave unexplored possibilities and turn them into new realities. We often find ourselves in unchartered waters and territories with our imagination. When we’re there, we allow ourselves to feel the fear. But we come to terms with it through courage, will, and grit. With this, often, possibilities become realities. To keep our sanity, we make sure to laugh regularly and wander the world purposefully. While wandering and expanding our experiences, our idea of what is possible expands as well.
