A Resort in Boracay

Boracay Island, Philippines, 2017

The brief for this beach resort was to apply the principles of Modernism and combine it with the basics of Tropical Architecture for this proposed six-star resort, to be built in the world-famous Boracay Island. The discipline of reduction (omission of elements until was is left are only essentials) was applied to the form-finding process for this resort, hoping to exude a high level of sophistication that would be apt for the target market’s discerning taste.
